Trenchmix is a deep soil mixing technique used primarily for the construction of continuous cut-off walls and soil improvement elements.  The Trenchmix tool consists of a 10 metre long blade equipped with a rotating cutting chain similar to a chainsaw.  A continuous soil-mixed wall is constructed by lowering the blade into the ground until it has reached a vertical position.  The soil is then broken-up and mixed with a binding agent by pulling the blade horizontally through the soil when walking backwards with its base carrier.
